The XRCB’s Radio Auca for Culturopolis

On november 19th the XRCB participated in Culturopolis the international days on cultural rights presenting a radio auca (the auca is a traditional cartoon very popular in Catalonia in the nineteenth century and the first half of the 20th).

The purpose of this hybrid radiophonic space is to reflect and debate about cultural rights. A cocktail of formats that featured the music and dance of Flamenco Queer, the songs of Glòria Ribera and the critical illustration of Flavita Banana. The mix was shaken and stirred by the presenters Marc Giró and Antònia Folguera.

This experimental project, designed by the Barcelona Community Radio Network (XRCB) for Culturopolis took place in an open-air stage located at Avinguda del Paral·lel.
